Skin rejuvenation

Many factors can contribute to suboptimal skin quality and appearance.

The effects of sun, stress, illness and environmental toxins can all result in skin damage. Fortunately, we now have options to revive, restore and enhance the appearance of your skin with Complete Skin Specialists premium skin rejuvenation treatments. Our treatment options can address all your skin concerns.
Thinning of the Skin and Fine Wrinkles

The sun causes a process known as solar elastosis. This is effectively breaking down of the collagen and elastic layer of the skin, known as the dermis. The skin therefore becomes thinner and less elastic, which results in fine lines, and thin crepey looking skin.

Treatments include:

  • Effective broad-spectrum anti-aging sunscreen to reduce ongoing damage
  • Anti-aging medical grade skincare can increase collagen thickness and improve hydration in the skin
  • Dermal fillers to improve skin thickness and hydration
  • Fractional resurfacing laser for skin tightening

Broken Capillaries and Facial Redness

The sun causes dilatation and damage of the fine capillaries under the surface of the skin. These vessels are ordinarily not visible with the naked eye, but sun can cause them to be dilate, resulting in visible broken capillaries and blotchy redness. These features give the appearance of much older skin.

Treatment for red skin and vessels involves a vascular laser. This is a very safe and effective option for dilated capillaries and redness.

Pigmentation and Brown Spots

The sun causes a variety of pigmentation problems. Excessive freckles, solar lentigines (larger flat brown benign sun spots), melasma (large patchy brown areas of skin) and excessive tanning all cause a prematurely aged appearance of the skin.

Treatment usually depends on the exact cause of the pigmentation but may include prescription creams, medical grade skin care, pigment laser or resurfacing laser.

Please note that serious skin cancers may also present as irregular flat brown spots/patches and therefore an exact diagnosis should be sought prior to any treatment.

Volume loss in the face and deep movement lines

Sun damage along with genetics and multiple other factors result in volume loss causing wrinkles and droop to premature facial aging. For further information and treatment options see information on dermal fillers and Botox® injections.
