About

A message to our referring doctors, existing and new patients.

WE ARE STILL OPEN!

Complete Skin Specialists remains open to provide all general medical and surgical dermatology services. Our ultraviolet light (UVB) treatment also remain operational.

We have however, postponed all of our cosmetic and laser treatments until government restrictions are eased. We have repurposed our Cosmetic and Laser clinic to see our dermatology patients to ensure appropriate social distancing.

Our dermatologists are accepting new referrals. We welcome patients for consultations who may need laser treatments (for example for acne scarring and rosacea) as a treatment plan can be formulated for down the track.

Appointments can be made by phoning the clinic (03 9740 2409), or referrals can be faxed or emailed through to us, which enables us to book the most timely and appropriate appointment (info@completeskinspecialists.com.au).

WE ARE OFFERING TELEHEALTH

Video consultations are booked via Zoom but can be arranged via telephone, Facetime or WhatsApp if required.

If you are interested in a Telehealth consult, please contact our friendly reception staff who will help determine if this may be an option for you.

WE ARE FAST-TRACKING SKIN CANCER REFERRALS

Please note we cannot offer telehealth for skin checks or to check any lesions or moles you may be concerned are a skin cancer. We need to see you in person for these problems.

If you have a worrying skin spot, we can offer a fast-tracked review and removal if necessary. Please contact the clinic for further information.

WE ARE TAKING ALL PRECAUTIONS AGAINST COVID-19

Importantly we are of course following strict protocols to keep everyone safe. We are following guidelines carefully formulated by our Australasian College of Dermatologists

Please do not attend our clinic if:

  • You have recently travelled overseas or interstate in the last 14 days.
  • You are a ‘close contact’ with anyone recently diagnosed with COVID19 or currently being tested for COVID19.
  • You are within the last 7 days showing any symptoms of cough, sore throat, runny nose, flu-like fatigue or fever.

How to make an appointment with a dermatologist

With a team of 7 experienced dermatologists, our waiting list is now between 2-4 weeks.

You do not need a referral, however to be eligible for a Medicare refund you must obtain a referral from your GP and email it to our clinic prior to attending your appointment. A referral ensures that there is clear communication between our practice & your GP regarding your medical history & ongoing care. It also helps us with any relevant medical history we may require.

A referral also allows our practice to claim the Medicare rebate on the fees for your consultation, biopsies and other medical procedures.

If you do not have a referral from your GP then full appointment fees will apply without rebate.
