Broad-range of procedures

Procedures we offer

Breast reconstruction

Following mastectomy or breast-conserving surgery, surgical reconstruction of the breast may help restore breast shape and symmetry. Options include implant-based or autologous (tissue) reconstruction.

Aesthetic breast surgery

Procedures such as breast augmentation, breast reduction, or breast lift are considered where clinically appropriate. These may support women seeking relief from physical discomfort, correction of asymmetry, or restoration of breast shape following life changes.

Body contouring procedures

Post-weight loss and reshaping procedures, including abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), arm lift, and thigh lift, may be appropriate for patients experiencing discomfort, skin redundancy, or hygiene concerns.

Skin cancer removal and reconstruction

This may involve removal of basal cell carcinoma (BCC), squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), or melanoma while aiming to preserve function and support aesthetic outcomes.
Dr Hughes also accepts direct referrals from our dermatologists for surgical management of skin cancers.

Minor hand surgery

Conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, ganglion cysts, and benign soft tissue lesions may affect hand function, comfort, or mobility. These procedures may assist in relieving symptoms like pain or numbness and support improved use of the hand in daily activities.

A referral is required to make an appointment with Dr Hughes. You are welcome to call us for more information or to discuss the process, but you will need to obtain a referral prior to the appointment.

Our Complete Skin approach

At Complete Skin Specialists, we take a comprehensive and collaborative approach to care.

What to expect during a consultation:

All patients require a valid referral to see Dr Hughes. Once the referral is received, our team will schedule the consultation and assist with any pre-appointment information.

  • During your consultation, Dr Hughes will review your referral and medical history, including medications, prior procedures, and any relevant imaging or reports.
  • Discuss your goals and concerns, understanding both your health priorities and expectations.
  • Conduct a clinical assessment, including physical examination to evaluate anatomy and suitability for surgery.
  • Explain available options – outlining appropriate procedures, potential risks, expected recovery, and long-term considerations.
  • Provide guidance on next steps, including further assessments (if required), preparation for surgery, and information on minor in-room procedures performed by Dr Hughes at our Sunbury clinic.
