Dr Claire Felmingham

Consultant Dermatologist

Dr Claire Felmingham is a specialist dermatologist and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.

Medical training and achievements

Dr Felmingham graduated from Monash University with Honours in Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, and with a Bachelor of Medical Science Honours degree. She spent her intern and medical residency years at Monash Health and the Royal Darwin Hospital. Prior to undertaking specialist dermatology training, Dr Felmingham worked as a vulval dermatology fellow at the Royal Women’s Hospital, as a research fellow at the Occupational Dermatology Research and Education Centre at the Skin Health Institute, and as a fellow at the Victorian Melanoma Service at Alfred Health.

Dr Felmingham completed a Master of Philosophy Research Degree in skin cancer research with the Monash University School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, in association with the Victorian Melanoma Service. She has multiple peer-reviewed journal publications and has presented research at national and international meetings.

Dr Felmingham completed dermatology training at the Royal Children’s Hospital, the Skin Health Institute, Northern Health, Austin Health, and Monash Health.

In addition to private practice, Dr Felmingham now holds a consultant dermatologist position at Northern Health where she is involved in education of dermatology trainees and junior doctors.
