Dr Holly Sexton (MBBS (Hons), FACD) is an Australian trained specialist dermatologist and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
Medical training and achievements:
Dr Sexton obtained her medical degree with honours at James Cook University, prior to completing internship at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in Queensland. Holly moved to Melbourne in 2018 working in various hospitals, and as a Clinical Forensic Medicine Registrar at the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine prior to undertaking specialist dermatology training.
Dr Sexton completed specialist training at a variety of tertiary hospitals including Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide, and in Melbourne at Austin Health, The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Western Health, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and The Royal Children’s Hospital.
Dr Sexton’s academic achievements include receiving the Australasian College of Dermatologists Travelling Fellowship award for the highest overall marks in the nationwide final dermatology examinations, and the Founders Medal for overall highest procedural marks.
In addition to private practice, Dr Sexton holds clinical appointments at Western Health, the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Royal Children’s Hospital where she is actively involved in education of dermatology trainees and junior doctors.
