How we can help you improve scarring and texture concerns.
Our specialised team can help you with the following:
- Scarring: acne scarring, trauma or surgical scarring, keloid scarring.
- Pink/red scarring.
- Post-inflammatory erythema (PIE) – commonly associated with acne and skin trauma.
- Texture and ageing concerns.
Cosmetic treatment options include:
– Radio Frequency Micro-needing – for acne scarring, skin tightening and texture.
– Vbeam (Vascular Laser) and IPL (Intense Pulsed light Therapy) – for early scar intervention.
– CO2 Resurfacing Laser – for moderate to severe scarring.
Vascular laser (VBEAM):
A yellow-light laser that is designed to treat redness. A pulse of the laser delivers a burst of energy, this energy is attracted to, and absorbed by redness within the different layers of skin. Depending on the skin concern, you are prescribed a set number of treatments, which are typically performed 6-8 weeks apart. We use this laser as a spot treatment for pink/red scarring, or post-inflammatory erythema (PIE). In appropriate cases, it can be used as a tool for early intervention to help heal the scar and encourage redness to fade.
Radio Frequency – SECRET RF:
SECRET RF micro-needle fractional system is a leading technology for skin lifting, scarring, tightening and rejuvenation, using precisely controlled radio frequency in conjunction with minimally invasive micro-needles to remodel the skin. We typically prescribe a series of treatment, performed 4-6 weeks apart. This treatment has minimal downtime and offers a range of benefits.
CO2 Resurfacing Laser:
A gold-standard treatment option for complete skin resurfacing. It is indicated for skin tone and texture, moderate-severe sun damage, benign (flat) lesions, acne and surgical scarring, skin lifting, pore reduction, fine lines and wrinkles. This treatment is only performed by our principal dermatologists, Dr Belinda Welsh and Dr Cara McDonald. You can learn more about this treatment option, and view our gallery of before and afters, by clicking this text.
Cost of treatment:
The cost of treatment depends on the device used and condition/area treated, an accurate financial quote can only be provided following a consultation.
